This is the dipping cycle sequence video recorded from video frames of the 6 MB Dippy Movie. It shows typical bird in a 32 second sample of STABLE cycling, where the rate of evaporation balances the rate of wetting.

There are SIX full cycles shown, five of which involve a dip or double dip into the water (dotted line). Prior to the last cycle, the bird stops before its beak to the water, then takes an extra large dip after a short cycle.
