Chamberlin Gorge

6 July 1996

The Chamberlin River was an extraordinary wildlife habitat. There were also aboriginal paintings on a rock shelter.

Aboriginal rock shelter with spirit drawings. The image on the LEFT is an enlarged section from the center of the photo on the RIGHT. The right hand image shows Mike Stewart (Odyssey Safari guide), Hartley and Colin Gould (Odyssey Safari guide) looking at Chamberlin aboriginal art. The people who made the drawings are unknown, but the drawings are one of many styles found on the continent.
